The project INSPIRE will recruit 15 ESRs in the eight institutions forming the network which are spread over four countries (France, Germany, Italy and Sweden). In addition, six partner organizations (including gas turbine and aeroengine industries and US Universities) will support training and secondments for the ESRs.

Eligibility criteria
European and non-European students are invited to apply to any of the fifteen fellowships.
To be eligible, the candidate:
- must be in the first four years of her/his research career. Candidates should ideally possess a Master's degree in a relevant academic field or a degree that allows them to embark in a PhD (applications from candidates who already possess a doctoral degree cannot be considered).
- must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the institution that recruits the student for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the recruitment date. Short stays such as holidays and/or compulsory national service are not taken into account.
- must be willing to spend a prolonged time in another institute/country of the network during the PhD thesis period.

Selection process

Please include a letter of interest, a CV and at least one recommendation letter as one pdf file (max file size 5 MB). Skills/Qualifications
Candidates should possess a Master's degree in a relevant academic field (Mechanical, Energy or Chemical Engineering or closely related) or a degree that allows them to embark in a PhD. Additional requirements could be necessary according to specific institution’s rules.
Must have great interest and be willing to work in the field of gas turbine technologies and related disciplines. Required language is ENGLISH (GOOD).
